The competition was last year and all three writers were new and self published. They aren't active anymore. It's a shame. They took the money and left. I think it's great to see that editors will earn. I'm not sure about self publishing. I guess if you plan to offer a home for stories of a specific niche then you could earn too when you allow others to join.
