If you're goal is to get freelancing offers, here's my recommendation: give people an opportunity to contact you outside of Medium. Meaning, provide an email adress in your bio. This is THE key to get job offers etc. Another idea is to link to LinkedIn or use it to promote your work.

I think it's about your writing style. A friend of mine who loves to write about love, relationships and narcissism just got several offers because they want her brand, her style, her writing rhythm.

Another idea is to steal from bigger outlets such as a magazien you're a fan of.

Write as if you were employed. There's always a blueprint you can steal or orient on.
