One thing is for sure, if they recommend specific stories and writers they definetly get more clicks, views and reads. If they don't this Boost isn't there and they get less views.

I heard that the follower count of some writers is growing rapidly. Victoria K. got about 3,000 in October. Another writer more than 5,000. I think if Medium recommends you somewhere you're really winning! Hope this helps :D
