Hi Chrissie, In the past Medium writers were paid for views. Now it's for reading time. If someone clicks on your headline, wants to rea your short ;) lead-in and sees one of my articles on the topic with a nicer picture or whatever they will be distracted and click somewhere else instead of readind your wonderful content. It could cut the reading time. But I hope it's just a test and they see this post for instance ;)
