Dear Adeline, I totally agree with you. I like your division into the two categories. Fortunately, my husband falls into the second category. I hope yours does too. That your husband cooks is fabulous. It takes a lot of work off your shoulders. Men are better cooks anyway. Or why are most star chefs male?
